Which tax returns must a Moroccan company file?

A company subject to IS files, as a minimum: its TVA returns (monthly or quarterly), its four IS instalments, its annual taxable-result return with the liasse fiscale, the return of wages and salaries if it employs staff, and withholding tax returns where applicable. An individual under the RNR or RNS regime has a similar calendar, built around IR. All of it now goes through e-filing and online payment on SIMPL — paper filing is no longer the norm.

When is the TVA return due?

The return is filed before the end of the month following the period concerned: January TVA is declared and paid during February under the monthly regime; the first quarter, during April under the quarterly regime. The regime depends on your taxable revenue: above one million dirhams of annual revenue, monthly filing applies; below that, quarterly filing is possible. We put you on the right regime and take care of the rest.

What do you risk if you are late or forget?

Surcharges and late penalties set by the Code Général des Impôts (the Moroccan tax code), which are added to the tax itself and can turn a simple oversight into a real cost — without counting the minimum contribution and the interest due when a position is put right late. The honest answer: being late always costs more than the fee of a firm that keeps your deadlines. If you already have arrears, we clear them methodically, starting with what is still running.

What is the payment-terms return (DDP)?

It is a return introduced by law 69-21, which requires the companies concerned to declare periodically the state of their supplier invoices and the payment terms they apply — with financial penalties where the legal terms are exceeded. It is recent, it is technical, and many companies discover it through a reminder letter. We work out whether you are subject to it, and build it into your calendar.

Can the firm manage your SIMPL access?

Yes. If your company has not yet signed up to the SIMPL online services, we prepare the registration; if it has, you hand us the credentials and every return goes out properly signed, with a filing receipt kept in your file. The same goes for Damancom on the CNSS side.

How it works

A calendar that is kept, amounts announced in advance.

The method is simple: never discover a deadline, always see it coming.

= · the deadline anticipated, the cash flow calm
1

Mapping your obligations

When we take your file over, we list everything your company has to declare — tax by tax, with the frequency and due date of each. That is your personal tax calendar.

2

Preparation ahead of time

Each return is drawn up from your accounts, several days before the deadline. We tell you the amount to pay so that the cash is ready.

3

E-filing & online payment

Filed through SIMPL on time, with receipts archived in your file. You get the confirmation — no nasty surprise six months later.

4

Monitoring & adjustments

Every finance act changes some of the rules. We follow those changes for you and adjust your returns accordingly — that is our job, not yours.

Who it's for

This service is made for you if…

01

You sometimes miss deadlines

Penalties eat into your margin. A calendar kept by someone else solves the problem at the root.

02

You find out the amounts too late

A TVA bill announced the day before throws your cash flow. We give you the figures several days ahead.

03

You have received a letter from the DGI

A reminder, a request for information, a notice of inspection: we reply in the proper form, and we explain what it means for you.

04

You have arrears

We put them right methodically, keeping surcharges down — and without judgement: what matters is starting clean again.

Frequently asked questions

Tax: your questions.

Monthly or quarterly TVA: which regime applies to your business?

The regime depends on your taxable revenue: above one million dirhams a year, monthly filing is compulsory; below that, you can file by quarter. We check your position when we take the file over and change the regime if necessary.

How do IS instalments work?

IS is paid through four quarterly instalments, calculated on the previous financial year's tax. Once the annual return is filed — within three months of the year-end close — the balance is settled: either a top-up to pay, or an excess to carry forward. We build those four dates into your cash-flow forecast.

What should you do when a notice of tax inspection arrives?

Do not reply on your own, and do not sign anything in haste. The inspection procedure is governed by set deadlines and by guarantees for the taxpayer. Bring us the notice as soon as it arrives: we prepare the documents, handle the exchanges with the inspector and stand by you until the file is closed.

Can a TVA credit be recovered?

A TVA credit is first offset against your following returns; a refund is only possible in the cases provided for by the Code Général des Impôts, on a supported claim. We look at your position and, if a refund is open to you, we put the claim together.
