Service · Bookkeeping

Your accounts, kept up to date all year round.

Data entry, journals, general ledger, trial balance, bank reconciliations and tax returns: we keep your books in line with the CGNC, so that every deadline finds you ready — and so your figures finally help you decide.

From1,000 MAD excl. tax / month StandardCGNC E-filingSIMPL-DGI

First conversation free and with no obligation. We can take your file over mid-year, with no break in your filing deadlines.

What's included

Full bookkeeping, not just data entry.

The monthly subscription covers the whole day-to-day accounting cycle — from the supporting document to a trial balance ready for the annual accounts.

01

Recording your documents

Purchase and sales invoices, expense claims, cash slips: every document is recorded in the right journal and posted to the correct account of the Moroccan chart of accounts.

Purchases · Sales · Cash · Bank

02

Journals, general ledger & trial balance

The statutory books are kept and permanently up to date: you can obtain a trial balance or an interim statement at any time, not only at year-end.

Statutory books · CGNC

03

Bank reconciliations

Your statements are matched against the accounts, month by month. Discrepancies — an uncashed cheque, an unidentified direct debit, an invoice booked twice — are spotted and dealt with, not discovered in March.

Bank · Matching

04

TVA returns

We prepare and e-file your TVA (VAT) return, monthly or quarterly depending on your regime, with online payment through SIMPL before the end of the month following the period.

TVA · SIMPL

05

Deadline tracking

IS (corporate income tax) instalments, IR (personal income tax), CNSS, business tax: a tax calendar kept for you. We tell you ahead of each deadline how much to set aside — never the other way round.

Tax calendar · DGI · CNSS

06

Preparing the annual accounts

Because the books are clean all year round, the year-end inventory work and the liasse fiscale (the annual tax return pack) are prepared without a race against the clock — and without a surprise invoice.

Inventory · Liasse fiscale

Payroll and CNSS/AMO filings are covered by a dedicated service — see Payroll, CNSS & AMO. If you have employees, the quotation covers both sides together.

What does bookkeeping involve in Morocco?

Bookkeeping means recording every transaction of your business — purchases, sales, bank, cash — regularly and in chronological order, in books that comply with the Code Général de Normalisation Comptable (the Moroccan accounting standard), through to a trial balance that faithfully reflects your position. These are the accounts that feed your TVA returns, your IS instalments and, at year-end, your balance sheet and your liasse fiscale. Accounting records must be kept for ten years.

Which documents do you need to send us each month?

Four kinds of document are enough: your purchase invoices, your sales invoices, your bank statements and your cash slips or expense claims. To those you add, where they exist, your contracts (lease, leasing, loan), any tax notices received and your CNSS paperwork. You can drop them off at the firm, or send photos by WhatsApp or e-mail — we confirm receipt and tell you what is missing. No need to sort or file anything: that is our job.

Should you outsource your accounting or hire an accountant?

For a very small business, outsourcing costs several times less than a full-time employee, and gives you the experience of a firm that handles dozens of files — so one that has already met your situation. An in-house accountant makes sense once the volume of paperwork keeps one person busy full time; at that stage, many of our clients in fact keep the firm for the review, the tax work and the annual accounts, and bring the data entry in-house.

Can you hand your accounting over remotely?

Yes, and it is already how some of our clients work — from Casablanca to Kénitra. Documents travel by WhatsApp and e-mail, returns go out through SIMPL and Damancom e-filing, and we talk things through by phone. Distance changes neither the scope of the work nor the fee. See online accounting.

What happens if your accounting is behind?

It is a common situation, and a fixable one. We start with a full review — financial years not filed, missing returns, documents available — then draw up a costed catch-up plan, dealing first with whatever exposes you to surcharges. Bringing everything back up to date is quoted separately from the monthly subscription, and agreed before we start.

How it works

A simple monthly rhythm that runs itself.

Once your file is up and running, your accounting moves forward without you having to think about it.

1

First conversation & quotation

You describe your business to us: sector, invoice volume, employees, TVA regime. We give you a written quotation, with a fixed monthly fee and a breakdown of what it covers.

2

Taking over your file

New file or transfer from another fiduciaire (accounting bureau): we collect the trial balances, the latest liasses fiscales and the e-filing credentials, and we set your deadline calendar. You never hand anything over twice.

3

Every month

You send us your documents — drop-off, WhatsApp or e-mail. We record them, reconcile the bank, prepare and e-file the TVA, and tell you the amounts to pay before the deadline.

4

At every year-end

Inventory work, financial statements, liasse fiscale e-filed on time — then a meeting to read the annual accounts together and prepare the year ahead.

Pricing

From 1,000 MAD excl. tax per month.

A fixed monthly subscription, set by quotation from your actual volume — and one that does not move mid-year without a conversation.

What makes the fee vary
Volume of documents

The first criterion: ten invoices a month and three hundred are not the same workload.

TVA regime

Monthly or quarterly filing — monthly TVA means twelve returns a year instead of four.

Employees

Payroll and CNSS/AMO filings come on top of the accounting base, depending on headcount.

State of your file

A backlog to clear or financial years to put right are costed separately, once and for all.

Frequently asked questions

Bookkeeping: your questions.

How much does an accountant cost in Morocco for a small business?

At STRACOMA, bookkeeping starts at 1,000 MAD excl. tax per month for a straightforward file — few documents, no employees. The exact fee depends on the volume of documents, the TVA regime and your headcount; it is set in writing before we start, and our prices are published.

Can you change accountant mid-year?

Yes, at any time. We collect your file from your former fiduciaire — trial balances, liasses fiscales, e-filing credentials — and pick up your deadline calendar without interruption. The process is set out step by step on the changing accountant page.

What happens if a document is missing or lost?

We flag missing documents as we record them, not at the end of the year. A duplicate can almost always be obtained — from the supplier, the bank or the authorities — and we tell you which one to ask for.

Do you need to buy accounting software?

No. The firm works on its own professional tools; you have nothing to install and nothing to pay for. Your only job is to send us the documents — the rest is our business.

How often will you know where you stand?

At every deadline you know the amounts declared and payable, and you can ask for a trial balance or a status update at any time. At year-end, we read the annual accounts together, line by line.

My accounting is two years behind — can that be fixed?

Yes. We start with a full review, then cost the catch-up financial year by financial year, dealing first with whatever exposes you to penalties. Many of our clients arrived in exactly that situation.
