Pricing & quotations — published prices, written quotations
How much does an accountant cost in Morocco?

At STRACOMA, bookkeeping starts at 1,000 MAD excl. tax per month, setting up a company costs 4,000 MAD excl. tax turnkey, and liquidation is priced on quotation after a free initial review. We are one of the very few Moroccan firms to publish its prices — the full detail is on the Pricing page.

Why do most firms not give out their prices?

Out of habit in the profession: the quotation comes after the meeting. We do the opposite — published prices, a written quotation from the first conversation — because a business owner who wants to compare should be free to do so. That transparency obliges us to hold our prices: that is the point.

Is the first meeting chargeable?

No. The first conversation — at the office, by phone or on WhatsApp — is free and without obligation: we assess what you need, answer your questions and, if an engagement takes shape, you receive a written quotation. You decide afterwards, with no pushy follow-up.

What is included in the monthly subscription?

Depending on the scope agreed: full bookkeeping (data entry, journals, trial balance, reconciliations), the routine tax returns (TVA, IS instalments, IR), payroll and CNSS if you have employees, the liasse fiscale and the year-end accounts, and answers to your everyday questions. The quotation lists it all, in black and white.

Company formation — 4,000 MAD excl. tax, turnkey
What documents do you need to set up a company in Morocco?

For a SARL or SARL AU: identity documents for the shareholders and the manager, two or three proposed names, the address of the registered office (lease or domiciliation), the amount of the share capital and how it is split, and a description of the activity. The rest — articles of association, forms, filings — is our job.

How long does it take to register a company?

In practice, one to two weeks for a SARL once the paperwork is together: certificat négatif (name-reservation certificate), signature of the articles, registration, then entry in the commercial register. We give you a realistic timescale at the first meeting — and we never leave a file waiting on a missing document.

Which legal form should I choose to start out?

In short: auto-entrepreneur to test a solo activity within the ceilings; SARL AU for one person putting a structure in place; SARL as soon as there are several of you; SA for capital-intensive projects. The choice is confirmed against your figures at the first meeting — the company formation pages set out each form in detail.

Can you set up a company without business premises?

Yes: the registered office can be placed with a licensed domiciliation company, for a modest monthly cost. A commercial lease becomes necessary once you actually operate from premises. An auto-entrepreneur, for their part, can be domiciled at their home address.

Can a Moroccan living abroad set up a company remotely?

Yes — we do it regularly. Everything goes through WhatsApp and e-mail, and a power of attorney covers the signatures and filings on the ground. The timescale is the same as doing it in person.

Accounting & tax — obligations, deadlines, putting things right
What are the accounting obligations of a Moroccan company?

Keeping accounts in line with the Code Général de Normalisation Comptable (journals, general ledger, trial balance, inventory), keeping supporting documents for ten years, declaring and paying TVA, IS and withholdings according to its regime, filing its liasse fiscale each year within three months of the year-end, and having its accounts approved at a general meeting.

When must the annual accounts be filed in Morocco?

The tax result return — the liasse — is e-filed within three months of the end of the financial year: the end of March for a year that runs with the calendar. The balance of the IS is paid within the same deadline.

What happens if a return is filed late?

Surcharges and penalties are added to the amounts due, and late filings only get worse as they pile up. The good news: everything can be put right. We take stock, put a figure on it, and bring the file back into order, starting with what is still running.

My company had no activity this year: do I still have to file?

Yes — the filing obligations remain even with no revenue, and a minimum contribution may still be due. If the company has no future, it is better to close it cleanly than to let it pile up obligations year after year.

What exactly is SIMPL?

SIMPL is the set of online services of the Direction Générale des Impôts (the Moroccan tax authority): e-filing and e-payment of TVA, IS, IR and the other taxes. The firm handles your company's enrolment and files all your returns through that channel, with the receipts archived to back them up.

Payroll & CNSS — employees, Damancom, AMO
When must a business register with the CNSS?

From the very first hire: registering the employer and enrolling the employee are immediate legal obligations, not a formality that waits until the business has grown. Tell us about the hire before the first day of work — the formalities start straight away.

How are salaries declared each month?

By e-filing on Damancom, the CNSS portal, followed by e-payment of the CNSS and AMO contributions. The return has to stay consistent with the payslips and, at the end of the year, with the return of salaries and wages filed with the DGI — that consistency is what the firm guarantees.

What does an employer risk by not declaring an employee?

Reassessed contributions over the period concerned, penalties, and a real risk before the labour courts if there is a dispute — quite apart from the employee losing their rights (AMO, pension). Putting it right voluntarily always costs less than an audit: we handle it regularly.

Does the manager of a SARL have to be declared to the CNSS?

It depends on their situation — whether they are a shareholder-manager or not, holding the office alone or with a separate employment contract. It is a technical point that determines their social cover: we settle it precisely when the company is formed or when we take over the file, according to your set-up.

The firm & the relationship — how we work, distance, transfers
How do the documents reach you?

Whichever way suits you: dropped off at the office in Témara, sent as photos on WhatsApp, or by e-mail. We acknowledge receipt, flag what is missing, and file it away. No need to sort or classify anything — that is our job.

Do you work with clients outside Témara?

Yes: Rabat, Salé, Skhirat, Harhoura, Bouznika, Kénitra, Mohammedia, Casablanca — on site or remotely. SIMPL and Damancom e-filing, WhatsApp and the phone mean distance has no effect on the quality of the follow-up. See online accounting.

How do I change accountant without any risk?

We take care of everything: the letter to your former fiduciaire (accounting bureau), retrieving the trial balances, the liasses and the e-filing credentials, and picking up the calendar of deadlines without a break. The full how-to is on the changing accountant page.

Who handles my file at the firm?

Your point of contact is the manager, Younes El Otmani, chartered accountant — he is the one who reads you and answers you. No switchboard, and no file changing hands without your knowing.

Is my data kept confidential?

Yes — professional secrecy is an obligation of the profession, and your documents are used only to handle your file. Our privacy policy describes what we keep and why. No data is ever sold on, to anyone at all.
